Forged steel flange globe valve is a commonly used shutoff valve, which is mainly used to connect or cut off the medium in the pipeline, and is generally not used to adjust the flow.
The applicable pressure and temperature range of the globe valve is very large. This valve is suitable for small-diameter pipelines. The sealing surface is not easy to wear and scratch, the sealing performance is good, the valve disc stroke is small when opening and closing, the opening and closing time is short, and the valve height is small.

Forged steel flange globe valve refers to a valve in which the closing part (valve disc) moves along the center line of the valve seat. According to this movement form of the valve disc, the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the valve disc stroke.
Because the valve stem of this type of valve has a relatively short opening or closing stroke and has a very reliable shutoff function, and because the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the valve disc stroke, it is very suitable for regulating the flow.
2. Selection principles
Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for use as a cut-off or adjustment and throttling. The selection principles are:
1. Globe valves should be used on pipelines or devices with high-temperature and high-pressure media. Such as thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and high-temperature and high-pressure pipelines in petrochemical systems.
2. On pipelines where the flow resistance requirements are not strict. That is, where the pressure loss is not considered.
3. Needle valves, instrument valves, sampling valves, pressure gauge valves, etc. can be selected for small valves.
4. It is suitable for pipelines with flow regulation or pressure regulation, but the regulation accuracy requirements are not high, and the pipeline diameter is relatively small, such as the nominal diameter ≤50mm.
5. For small and large fertilizers in synthetic industrial production, it is suitable to use high-pressure angle stop valves or high-pressure angle throttle valves with a nominal pressure of PN160 and a nominal pressure of 16MPa or PN320 and a nominal pressure of 32MPa.
6. In the desiliconization workshop of the Bayer process of alumina production and pipelines prone to coking, it is easy to use direct current stop valves or direct current throttle valves with separate valve bodies, removable valve seats, and carbide sealing pairs.
7. For water supply and heating projects in urban construction, stop valves, balancing valves or plunger valves can be used for pipelines with smaller nominal diameters, such as pipelines with nominal diameters less than 150mm.
